Description
This is a pair of very decorative tea canister table lamps. We believe that the chinoiserie canister bases were created in the 1980s to intentionally mimic actual earlier 20th century tea canisters that were imported from China. Both lamps are in very goo condition; their wiring has been checked with both lamps in good working order. The shades appear to be original, one has a small stain; we are including the shades as a courtesy; they are not part of the purchase.
*If shades are desired, there will be an additional shipping charge for the shades.
**Chinoiserie or Japanned Decoration became popular in the late 17th or early 18th century in England and throughout Europe and remains a popular decorative style. -
