Description
This is an unusual pair of lamps that have been created with antique 19th century Chinese wine storage jars and are attributed to Billy Haines. The rustic Chinese terra cotta pottery gives an earthy quality to the lamps, allowing them to be placed in multiple settings including mid-century-designed homes, country rooms and romantic Idaho ranches. Both lamps are in good condition. There is rubbing, pitting and firing flaws throughout the pottery which adds to the desirability and character of the lamps bases. The lamps are attributed to Billy Haines; Billy Haines frequently employed antique Chinese and Japanese ceramics and enamel in the creation of his lighting pieces, additionally, the lacquered wood base and electrical fittings match those of other Billy Haines pieces. The lamps have been rewired and are ready for their new home. Shades are not included.
