PAIR OF LARGE SWEDISH ART DECO SCONCES WITH SHELL SHADES

Description
Fine pair of sconces which embody the restrained elegance of what the French press described as "Swedish Grace" at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in 1925.
These sconces are made of solid brass, newly polished and lacquered. Each sconce has a single arm with a shell shaped shade and a single standard base socket. A raised half sunburst decorates the area beneath a stylized canopy which is topped with a shell like ornament.
