Description
This exquisite pair of sconces embodies a masterful blend of modernist design and traditional Italian craftsmanship. Each sconce features hand-blown Murano glass in a distinctive pullegoso finish, a technique renowned for its textured, slightly opaque appearance achieved through the intentional inclusion of air bubbles in the glass during the blowing process. These unique sconces showcase a softly diffused glow, combining beauty with practicality while maintaining a sense of artisanal elegance.
The Murano glass element is complemented by oil rubbed bronze fittings, lending a contemporary yet timeless sophistication to the design. The rich, dark finish of the bronze creates a striking contrast to the frothy, light texture of the pulegoso glass, resulting in a design that feels both dynamic and balanced.
Crafted in Italy during the 21st century, these sconces reflect a modern interpretation of centuries-old Venetian glassmaking traditions, reimagined for contemporary spaces. Perfect for a variety of interiors, from residential to commercial settings, the pieces serve as both functional lighting fixtures and pieces of sculptural art.
These Murano sconces are not only a testament to Italian craftsmanship but also embody the spirit of modernist design—elevating the functional into the realm of the extraordinary. Their distinctive character and artisanal quality make them a striking addition to any sophisticated space. Newly rewired to American Standards, these sconces accommodate one edison base bulb each, achieving up to 100 watts of light. In Excellent Condition.
