Description
Pair of Ara Lamps, Philippe Starck, 1988
Iconic pair of "Ara" table lamps designed by the acclaimed Philippe Starck for the great Italian firm Flos in 1988.
These pieces reflect the sophistication and ingenious design of the late 20th century. Ara lamps are distinguished by their unique shape and horn-shaped head. Another notable feature is their unusual operation. Tilting the top of the lamp upward will turn it off, while pointing the head downward will turn the light on.
It has a circular base that, together with its slim chrome-plated steel structure, creates a highly stable and elegant piece that will add a distinctive touch to any living room or even office.
