Poliarte Italian Cast Gold Glass and Brass Table Lamp Designed by Albano Poli

Sold Sold
  • Description
Poliarte table light designed by Italian lighting designer Albano Poli created from cubed fused gold colored glass component parts with an internal structure of two light sockets and a sheet of opaque plexi to diffuse the light.
The glass is one fused block of glass made up of several different sized cubes fused together with small bubbles infused in the glass as part of the normal Poliarte technique.
The glass thus diffuses the light and glows and even though the glass is clear it glows when lit like a cube of gold. The glass block is 8.88" w x 8.75" d x 3" h. Very very heavy.
The brass is in excellent condition and compliments the glass in color and patina and tone.
Two candelabra bulb light source. No chips or flaws or restorations.
    Overall size: 8.88"w x 8.75"d x 7"h.
    Brass base: 8.88"w x 8.75"d x 4"h.
The glass component is 3" thick.
    Two candelabra bulb light source.

Message from Seller:

Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States. Postwar design has been the focus for 18 yrs and we also look forward to new design that crosses boundaries and dialogues as well to the past
