Description
This rare table lamp was produced by Böhlmarks in Sweden in the 1920s, with the glass base crafted at Pukebergs Glasbruk, which was owned by Böhlmarks at the time. This series of marbled glassware is documented in Böhlmarks' 1925 catalogue.
The elegant base features a rounded, bulbous body that smoothly transitions into a narrow neck before flaring outward into a wide, trumpet-shaped foot. The glass showcases a vibrant marbled design combining deep emerald green, rich burgundy red, and warm amber tones, with streaks of creamy white blending throughout. The colors are interwoven in a fluid, organic pattern, giving the piece a dynamic and almost flame-like appearance. A glossy surface enhances the depth and interplay of the colors, creating a visually captivating effect. The classic empire-shaped shade has been custom made in ivory silk fabric, offering a refined contrast with the colored base.
The lamp is in very good condition, with a renewed shade and updated wiring. Currently with a 220V European plug.
Dimensions: Total height including shade: 35 cm / 13.78 inch Height of the base only: 26 cm / 10.24 inch Diameter of the shade: 25 cm / 9.84 inch Diameter of the base: 11 cm / 4.33 inch -
