Mid Century Table Lamp in Goatskin and Wrought Iron, Congo, 1950s.
This is a very special and rare table lamp in goatskin and wrought iron made in Congo, Africa. Mid 20th century - brought back to Belgium by a doctor who worked there in the 1950s.
Wonderful and very unusual design - playful and elegant at the same time. Just a simple yet very well designed frame in wrought iron with added goatskin. This goatskin gives this lamp a very warm and inviting appearance - both switched on and off.
The lamp shows its age - but does that in a very graceful and pleasant way. Highly original and rare piece.
