Description
The Pierre Guariche G21 Floor Lamp in white by Sammode is a contemporary lighting solution featuring an aluminum, brushed varnished brass and lacquered black metal blend. The durable elements ensure lasting quality, and the modern design will add a sophisticated style to any room.
Pierre Guariche is one of the most important designers of the French post-war period. Guariche studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and he founded his own design office two years after graduating in 1951. From 1957, he worked as artistic director for the Belgian furniture manufacturer Meurop, designing, for example, futuristic space-age chairs for the brand. However, Guariche is best known for the luminaires he designed, many of which feature details like hidden light sources, perforated metal surfaces and slender leg structures. With their clever constructions, many of his luminaires are great examples of the designer’s endless interest in technological innovation.
Sammode’s commitment to durability, reliability and imposing the smallest possible environmental footprint, puts a keen focus on the most effective materials available. The result of their ingenuity and attention to detail are lighting designs that are robust, functional, inventive and durable.
