Description
A Swedish Gustavian period five-light crystal chandelier from the early 19th century, with brass armature, spear crystals and floral motifs. Created in Sweden during the first decade of the 19th century, this Gustavian crystal basket chandelier features strands of round faceted crystals springing from the upper section, and leading to eye to discover the rest of the body. A succession of brass rings, adorned with floral motifs, are draped with additional strands while the lower section showcases five scrolling arms supporting simple bobèches. Rewired for the US, this Swedish Gustavian chandelier circa 1810 will enliven any space beautifully, particularly placed in a living room or foyer!
