Swedish Grace Six-Arm Globe Chandelier, in polished brass, circa 1930
-
Description
A Swedish Grace era, six-arm globe chandelier of exceptional quality and design, circa 1930. This fixture is a fine example of the era’s marriage of modernism with classicism, the results being a piece of design which embodies the best qualities of both periods .
The tubular brass arms extend from a round sphere starting at a 45 degree angle, then into a “u” shape and conclude into a double bobeche which hold standard base sockets. The center globe has a long elegant trumpet form finial and a similar formed element sits atop the globe holding a stem which leads to very refined canopy.
Newly rewired with 6 standard base sockets, ready for use in the USA.
