    Rare pair of bronze Merovingian female figure sconces by Vadim Androusov. Signed: "Androusov". France: circa 1940. Vadim Androusov was born in 1895 in Saint Petersburg. He is the grandson of the archaeologist Schliemann. He collaborates with decorators and creates sconces, furniture handles or keyholes. Provenance: this pair of sconces is part of a suite of furniture that belonged to André Arbus' personal physician.
