1950s Valinte Oy Rattan & Brass Plug-in Wall Lamp in the Manner of Paavo Tynell
Executed in woven rattan with an elegant slim brass wall mounted stem, this plug-in sconce by Finnish manufacturer Valinte Oy brings warmth and refinement to any space. The original "Valinte" stamp is on each wall mount. The woven rattan lamp shade has a generous 19.5 inch diameter and cast a warm, ambient glow when lit. The total projection from the wall is 25.75 inches. The wall arm has a brass screw to adjust the wall arm height and has the original on-off switch and cord.
Price is per item. Two pieces available.
Professionally re-wired for U.S. electrical. Accommodates a single max 60W LED equivalent e26 medium-base bulb. LED only. Bulb not included. Not UL listed. Wear consistent with age and use. Please note that only one item is featured in photos, but that both pieces are in similar condition and present well as a pair. Please inquire for additional photos or video.
Valinte Oy was created in 1942 in Helsinki. The company specialized in metal and glass lighting, with mix-and-match stems and shades. Their designs continue to be sought after by discerning collectors.
