Industrial metal scissor table lamp, Germany, 20th century.

Lamp consists of a round base, adjustable cylindrical body, and accordion arm that extends to various lengths. The scissor lamp design was introduced in the 1930s and is a perfect example of the precision engineering and craftsmanship of the Bauhaus era.

Lamp has been rewired and outfitted with a black twisted silk cord.
