Description
Walter Dorwin Teague Poloroid Table Lamp. This Art Deco Machine Age lamp is made of brown Bakelite and a brushed aluminum fittings. It was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague in 1939. This lamp exemplifies the Machine Age movement of Art Deco in America. The condition is excellent. It is documented in the book “The Machine Age in America 1918-1941.” It was manufactured by the Polaroid company in Cambridge Massachusetts. This lamp is in the collection of several museums, The MET, MOMA, MFA Houston, The Dallas MOA, The Smithsonian and others.
