Willy Daro Golden Floral Applique
Fantastic piece of wall lighting. Hollywood Regency style wall lamp designed by Willy Daro, a hard to find piece with a unique aesthetic.
Made of brass and preserved in perfect condition, with some signs of patina due to age and use. This piece was created in the 1970s and, together with the organic side tables of plant type (bonsai), are two of the two hallmarks of its particular aesthetic.
Willy Daro has an interesting career ahead of him, as he began to establish himself as a furniture designer after the Second World War, reaching his peak in the 1970s. He established his studio in Brussels, his hometown, where he concentrated his production until 1987, when he retired.
Daro was able to stand out considerably in the world of high design thanks to the particular organic vision through which he gave shape to functional pieces of furniture, such as side tables, lamps and wall lights.
Today it remains a highly sought-after must-have in the world of design and collecting.
