Lovely rustic Black Forest wall mirror from the period in Austria around 1880. This rural style wooden mirror has been elaborately handcarved out of basswood and impresses with its artfully designed frame in the manner of tree branches. The beautiful darkbrown almost black varnished surface enforces the amazing looking tree pattern. A fantastic example of a late 19th century rustic Black Forest mirror coming in perfect restored condition with a renewed mirror plate. The hand forged metal clamp on the backside makes wall mounting easy.
