20th Century Gilt Florentine Wall Mirror, Foam - Lacquered, Italy ca. 1970

$ 1,200
  • Description
    Absolutely unusual 20th century gilt Florentine mirror from the period around 1970 in Italy. This remarkable Italian vintage wall mirror is something very special: it has been artfully created out of polyurethane foam, sanded and then lacquered in a this beautiful "antique gold" tone. A truly unique vintage mirror which textural design confers it a very unique "plastic" (three-dimensional) appearance. The broad but lightweight frame impresses with its open worked, so-called "Florentine" pattern, adorned by lovely floral elements. Since this mirror is already over 50 years old it also shows a charming patina on the surface. A really rare and exceptional late mid-century Florentine mirror, coming to you in great original condition. The wire rope on the back makes wall mounting easy.
