Description
A beautiful French trumeau mirror dating to the Louis XVI period of the late 18th century. Retaining its elegant grey-green painted finish, the frame is richly decorated with finely carved and gilded neoclassical motifs, including ribbons, pearls, floral garlands, and garden attributes centered beneath an ornate decorative crest. The original mirror plate is surrounded by delicately carved moldings that enhance the architectural presence of the piece while preserving the graceful restraint characteristic of Louis XVI design. Its tall, narrow proportions make it particularly well suited for an entry hall, bedroom, dining room, or positioned between windows, where it reflects light and adds depth to a space. Displaying exceptional craftsmanship and timeless elegance, this sophisticated example of French decorative arts brings authenticity, warmth, and refined European character to both traditional and thoughtfully curated contemporary interiors.
This is an antique and having been around for a long time, it will show signs of wear. Antique pieces have very much sought-after character and associated flaws. Please review photos for condition & contact us with questions! -
