Dutch Baroque-Style Carved Wood Mirror
-
Description
This is a superb early to mid-20th century Dutch Baroque-style mirror. The mirror frame is beautifully carved in the iconic Dutch Baroque-style with a wide 4" frame decorated in the traditional wiggly and patterned carvings. The ebonized frame is in overall very good original condition with touches of patina. The mirror has an applied deep patina. This type of frame was in style in Spain and the Spanish ruled Italian principalities and the Netherlands during the 17th century. Today this style integrates beautifully into a Mediterranean design or a Belgium/Axel Vervoordt-inspired interior.
