Pair Chinese Porcelain Dragon Vases Fitted as Lamps
-
Description
This is a very large and stunning pair of late 19th century Chinese Pale Celadon Crackle Glazed Dragon and Flaming Pearl Vases that have been adapted to lamps with double socket fittings. The well-sculpted dragons are applied to the body of the vases and are highlighted in a dark-charcoal brown. The side handles are composed of cherry tree branches and flowers. Both vases are in overall very good condition with some rubbing to the raised elements. Every home needs at least one dragon for protection--of course, two are always better than one! These vases would incorporate well into most design themes from period to mid-century. We have paired them with a 17th century landscape, but they would be stunning paired with a great abstract.
