A striking 19th century French Louis Philippe style mirror with classic arched corners, and two rows of ebonized molding sandwiching the gold gilt molding of incised foliate pattern. This nod to Chinoiserie and Japanese decorative arts is reflective of the cross-cultural exchange fashionable in 19th century aesthetics around Europe, which still holds appeal for the modern collector.
