Italian Mid-Century Shield-Form Brass Mirror with Shell Crest, circa 1950

$ 5,600
  • Description
    Italian Mid-Century Shield-Form Brass Mirror with Shell Crest, circa 1950

    An exceptionally elegant Italian mid-century wall mirror featuring a graceful, tapered shield silhouette. Encased in a slender, hand-finished brass frame, the top crest curves in a gentle serpentine arch centered by a finely detailed, cast brass scallop shell ornament. The mirror plate follows the dramatic inward taper of the frame, tapering down to a rounded bottom. The brass displays a soft, warm patina, while the glass retains its original clear reflection. Perfectly suited to bring a touch of mid-century Milanese glamour and sculptural poise to an entryway, powder room, or the bedroom.
