Large Sculptural Round Convex Rose Gold Lighted Mirror or Wall Art, Italy

This Large Sculptural Round Convex Rose Gold Lighted Mirror or Wall Art is a unique work of art. A large, round glass is first thermoformed into a sculptural convex form (i.e. the round surface curves outward like the exterior of a circle or sphere). The bottom half of the convex glass form is then tinted and mirrored -- in this case, in a beautiful rose gold hue. The other half of the glass has a satin translucent finish to reflect a soft light from behind. The electrical hardware is not seen through the glass and can be wired directly to the wall. The entire structure is mounted on a brass frame that is attached to wall. This rose gold mirror is a sculptural art piece that changes hues depending on its angle and surroundings. Hand-casted in Milan, Italy, 2023. This wall art sculpture is on display at the Gallery at 200 Lex at the New York Design Center. Other colors such as cobalt blue, soft green, bronze, silver black and turquoise are available as custom orders.
Please note: These art mirrors are made individually by hand. The glass is first thermoformed in a hand cast mold made of steel or iron. This is where the glass is heated at enormously high temperature in the furnaces where it becomes flexible and formed into its concave shape. After the glass is formed, it is meticulously silvered by hand in the specific reflective color and then baked again. As every mirror is made individually by hand, there may be slight variations that are reflected in the silvering. These are not imperfections to the mirror but just the character of the one-of-a-kind handmade piece.
