Description
Sophisticated and elegant hallway mirror with tempered glass console table supported by two brass brackets (ca. late 1940s / early 1950s, Italy).
Brass lined wooden frame houses a total of sixteen mirrored inserts (fourteen squares lining the edges and top and two larger rectangular mirror components -- one above and one below the console table). There are a combination of brass screws and brass capped screws holding the panels in place (presumably all screws were once capped, yet a few are no longer, five remain facilitating the upper section of unit).
Brass trim and brackets show patina, tarnish and wear from use, as shown. There are scuffs to the mirror in places, as shown, along with surface scratches / general wear and a spot of edge loss to the console table. Remains an impressive, glamorous piece that still produces a clear reflection, despite the glass scuffs.
Includes two additional mirrored squares for replacement, if needed.
Each mirror panel, both brackets and console table can all be removed from the brass-lined wooden frame for safe shipping.
