Description
Zinc Oeil-de-Bœuf Mirror Late 19th Century · Parisian Architectural Element
Evoking the spirit of Haussmann-era Paris, this antique œil-de-bœuf mirror features a richly patinated zinc roof window surround repurposed as an architectural frame. The circular mirror, distressed over the years from exposure to the elements, retains its original surface wear, adding depth and authenticity. Crafted in the late 19th century, the zinc molding exhibits classical Parisian detailing—from its subtle cornices to its weathered finish—imbuing any interior with historical gravitas and sculptural allure. The interior part of the window has been fitted with an antique salvaged mirror.
Ideal as a standalone statement piece or a bold focal point in both traditional and contemporary settings. -
