This elegant and austere mirror was designed by the legendary T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb Co. in the United States, circa 1950. It offers a clean rectangular shadowbox frame in handrubbed walnut circumscribing a plain mirror center. This piece is a study in the simple, unadorned beauty of excellent design. It appears as modern and au courant today as when it was realized more than 70 years ago. Its clean lines and refined palate ensure that it would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly restored to mint condition.
