Description
English, ca. 1745
Each chair with a scrolled top rail decorated with acanthus and floral carvings, above a shaped, carved and pierced splat, further adorned with acanthus motifs and terminating in a gadrooned shoe.
The seats are upholstered in a soft green antique linen fabric. The chairs stand on carved cabriole legs adorned with cabochons, leaf carving and scrollwork, terminating in carved paw feet.
The chairs retain a glorious colour and patina throughout.
