Adrian Pearsall (1925-2011), trained as an architectural engineer, was a sailor and interior designer. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company 'Craft Associates. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious midcentury design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. Key figure in the Atomic style, his pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.
Reupholstered in faux leather a few years back-a few scuffs to edges-one repaired small tear. New foam and straps. The base has been rebuilt with a few new boards-well done, some chips to original boards on lower edge-see photos. -
