Description
Rare set of dining chairs designed by Arne Vodder. Produced by Sibast møbelfabrik in Denmark. These dining chairs, designed by Arne Vodder and produced by Sibast Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s, exemplify the refined craftsmanship and timeless aesthetic of mid-century Scandinavian design. The frames are constructed from rosewood, characterized by its rich grain patterns and warm hues. The chairs feature their original black leather upholstery, which showcases a beautifully aged patina, contributing to their authenticity and vintage charm.
The design of the chairs emphasizes clean lines and organic forms, with gently curved backrests that provide ergonomic support and comfort. The subtle tapering of the legs and the precision of the joinery highlight the exceptional woodworking techniques used in their production. The backrest is attached with exposed metal fittings, adding an industrial contrast to the natural materials. The seat cushions retain their original foam, offering a comfortable sitting experience while maintaining their shape.
These chairs are stamped with the Danish Furnituremakers Control mark, signifying their adherence to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Dimensions: width 49 cm (19.3 inches), depth 54 cm (21.3 inches), height 76.5 cm (30.1 inches), seat height 45 cm (17.7 inches).
The rosewood frames are in excellent vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. The black leather upholstery shows a natural patina.
