Description
Beautiful neoclassical early Biedermeier / Empire Sofa from Vienna, Austria circa 1815-20.
Walnut veneered and solid walnut. Two fluted full columns in beech with ebonized capitals and bases.
Newly covered with black teddy (Bouclé) fabric and double keder. The backside is also covered with the same fabric and the sofa can be places free standing in the room. Restored and hand polished with shellac.
Newly upholstered, good seating comfort.
