Description
Crafted from solid cherry wood, this set of nine brutalist dining chairs offers both visual impact and functional simplicity. Their minimalist design highlights the raw beauty of the material, while the carefully considered details evoke a sense of craftsmanship and structure.
Design
Each chair features a tall, sharply angled backrest, punctuated by nine evenly spaced gouges along the top, adding an element of texture and rhythm. A circular recess, cut into the backrest, balances the otherwise austere design, creating a focal point that plays with both light and shadow. The seat is generously proportioned, subtly curving for comfort without detracting from the overall rigid aesthetic. Tapered, octagonal-shaped legs provide a strong foundation, echoing the bold geometry of the chair's form while ensuring stability. In conclusion, these cherry wood chairs masterfully balance brutalist principles with refined craftsmanship. The contrast between the angular forms, tactile details, and natural wood grain creates a timeless yet modern presence. A deep and warm patina makes this set complete.
Condition
The chairs are very well preserved and have minor scratches and superficial scuffs. -
