Description
This rare daybed was designed by Carlo Hauner for Forma in the 1950s, exemplifying the refined elegance of Brazilian modernism. It features a sleek solid wood base paired with a leather-upholstered seat cushion and a cylindrical bolster pillow, combining comfort with understated sophistication. The clean lines and minimal profile highlight Hauner’s signature balance between sensual form and modern restraint.
Once part of a private residence in Teresópolis, a city located two hours from Rio de Janeiro, this piece embodies both historical significance and timeless design—an exceptional example of mid-century Brazilian craftsmanship. -
