A striking set of six French solid oak dining chairs, attributed to Charles Dudouyt, circa 1945. Designed with a robust, sculptural presence characteristic of Dudouyt’s work, the chairs feature a substantial ladder-back form with two horizontal back splats framed by pronounced, extended side posts. Thick square-cut legs flow seamlessly into the solid oak seat, emphasizing the chairs’ strong geometric construction and Brutalist sensibility. Each chair is fitted with a padded sage green fabric seat, providing a refined contrast to the warm, honey-toned patina and expressive grain of the oak.
