Description Adrian Pearsall 'Boomerang' sofa for Crafts Associates, US, 1960s. We used a Kvadrat fabric for this sofa. The original Pearsall Boomerang stands on rolls but these can also be taken away. The boomerang is designed in a very funky shape. This piece is finished on the bottom with a walnut edge and small legs that uplift and support the piece, making it seem as if the sofa floats through the room. Adrian Pearsall (1925-2011), trained as an architectural engineer, was a sailor and interior designer. In 1952, Pearsall opened his own furniture company 'Craft Associates'. Pearsall designed some of the most sensuous, gracious Mid-Century design pieces around, sharing many of the design aesthetics by Vladimir Kagan. His pieces are characterized by flamboyant curves, upswept shapes and stretched proportions.
