Description
Dining set consisting of an massive round wooden table and six matching chairs. De Puydt was a Belgian furniture manufacturer known for producing high-quality, modern designs during the mid-20th century, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s. The company specialized in creating sleek, minimalist furniture with a focus on craftsmanship. The design is defined by a strong sculptural presence, with thick solid wood construction, visible joinery and high chair backs with circular cut-outs. The table rests on a substantial central pedestal base, while the chairs combine simple plank seats with expressive, slightly curved backs and rustic construction details. The set has a warm, handmade character and a strong architectural quality. The height of the dining table is 75 cm, and the diameter of the tabletop is 125 cm. Good vintage condition with visible age-related patina, wear, marks and traces of use.
