English Oak Window Bench Circa 1880

Description
An English oak window bench of rectangular form with planked top, integral cylindrical end bolsters and turned legs. The seat surface is oak with visible medullary ray flecking, consistent with quarter-sawn stock. Cylindrical bolsters affixed at either end with rounded terminals. Four turned legs with ringed decoration is characteristic of late Victorian styling; with tradition joinery concealed beneath the framing apron. Wear to the seat and legs consistent with age and use. England circa 1880.
