Esko Pajamies & Toivo Korhonen, Pair of Lounge Chairs in Leather & Steel 1960s
-
Description
A beautiful and rare pair of cantilever lounge chairs in steel and leather designed by Esko Pajamies together with Toivo Korhonen for the School of Social Sciences in Tampere, and sepifically for the newspaper reading room. The chairs are featured in the Architectural magazine (see archive photo). Manufactured by Merivaara Oy in Finland in the 1960s.
The chairs are perfect for modern minimalist spaces, living rooms/lounge areas, or even offices and public spaces. They have a Kjaerholm and Danish vibe to them. The frames are in very good condition, with some slight wear on the rubber belts and leather upholstery. We chose to keep the original leather as the reupholstery for these can be easy, if one wishes to. -
