Description
Dimensions: 33” H x 27 ½” W x 29” D
A luxurious and inviting pair of 19th century French Louis XV style carved oak bergeres with olive-gold cut velvet upholstery. The ivory-tone painted wood frames have worn in areas to expose the grain underneath, carved in all those sinuous lines typical of the Louis XV taste, complementing the expressive Damask floral and foliate patterns woven in the upholstery for a tactile experience all around. The comfortable seat interior, using removable seat cushions, is soft and deep to read or lounge, balanced on dainty cabriole legs accented with escargot feet at the floor. Note that some of the piping has come loose, a few nailheads missing, and fabric is abraded which in no way affects the comfort. Please view the detailed images to see the current conditions of these gorgeous bergeres. Sold as a pair only.
Seat height: 17”
Seat Depth: 21” -
