Description
A French Louis XIII style walnut fauteuil from the 19th century, with os de mouton base, large scrolling arms and red upholstery. Created in France during the 19th century, this walnut armchair showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XIII era. The chair features a nicely slanted rectangular back, connected to two large scrolling arms which are 24.62 inches high. The seat and back are both upholstered with a used red colored fabric with brass nailhead trim secured in the back. This seat is 17 inches high and 19.5 inches deep. The ensemble is resting on a os de mouton base (translating as mutton leg in English), strengthened by an H-Form cross stretcher and front stretcher. With its elegant Louis XIII lines and nice proportions, this French walnut fauteuil from the 19th century, will make for a lovely addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, bedroom or foyer.
