A French Louis XV-style daybed, or lit de repos, circa 1940, featuring a beautifully carved and painted wood frame upholstered in leather. The graceful, flowing silhouette and scrolling hand-carved ornament reflect the Rococo aesthetic associated with the Louis XV revival. The combination of sculptural carving, shaped lines, and rich leather upholstery gives this elegant daybed a sophisticated and versatile presence, equally suited to a living room, bedroom, or dressing area. Comes with a box spring.
