Description
'Cannaregio' sofa, a vibrant and versatile creation by Italian designer Gaetano Pesce for Cassina. Originally conceived in 1987, this sofa exudes playfulness, adaptability, and a burst of colors. Its modular design allows for endless configurations, transforming from a spacious sofa to a cozy corner unit or even individual lounge chairs. The flowing organic shapes and polychrome textile upholstery create a charming landscape within your home. The set includes one lounge chair, four single seats, and one two-seater, offering ample seating options for any occasion. Furthermore, the option for partial reupholstery ensures the sofa can be tailored to your evolving needs, making it a timeless addition to any space.
Gaetano Pesce, born in 1939, stands as a true polymath in the realm of design and architecture. Graduating from Venice with a degree in architecture, Pesce's career transcends traditional boundaries, encompassing roles as a designer, architect, interior decorator, exhibition curator, and industrial innovator. Co-founding the 'N' Group, he delved into programmed art, exploring the intersection of art and technology. Pesce's oeuvre challenges conventions, blurring the lines between design, art, urban planning, and architecture. Notably, his postmodern aesthetic embraces unconventional materials like plastic, resin, and foam, coupled with innovative techniques. Through his eclectic body of work, Pesce continues to inspire and provoke discourse, shaping the landscape of contemporary design with his bold and visionary approach.
