Description
This is a stunning set of 4 dining chairs model CH30 designed by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by Carl Hansen & Son in Odense Denmark 1950.
These chairs are an early design by Wegner and were first introduced in 1950. These chairs feature organic contours and elegant styling. These chairs are a perfect demonstration of early Wegner’s unique design approach and insightful craftsmanship. The backrest features a fantastic shaped connection of the frame to the back shell. This kind of woodwork is typical for the design by Wegner. And it is with good reason that he is referred to as the Master of the Chair.
The model CH30 chairs have a solid beech frame and teak veneered back rest. The beech frame and teak back show a gorgeous contrast. The seats are upholstered in a high quality analyne leather from Italy which has a vintage feel in keeping with the period of the chairs. The chairs are marked with the Hans J. Wegner brand mark on the bottom of the seats.
We upholstered these in black leather to be as elegant, classic and unobtrusive to your dining room. These chairs are a great investment, will keep their value and will be ready for years of use.
There are 4 in the set. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or would like to see a video or any specific part of the chair in particular. We are more than happy to show you our work and answer any questions you may have.
