Description
“The Dolomites”
This collection plays on the contrast between the softness of the curves and the roughness of the reliefs that remind us of the natural lines that are sometimes found at the seaside, offering magnificent pebbles polished by the rolling of the water at the foot of steep cliffs, as if sculpted. Solid oak volume (made up of glued elements), carved.
Dyed in the mass by evolving from the deep black of the Chinese ink to the light color recalling the effect of the sun on the peaks. The golden leaf slits are reminiscent of torrents, sneaking between the rocks, shining under the sun’s rays.
Slipper chair in carved solid oak and gold leaf (2018). Solid oak tinted with Chinese ink and carved with gouge.
