Description
“The Dolomites”
This collection plays on the contrast between the softness of the curves and the roughness of the reliefs that remind us of the natural lines that are sometimes found at the seaside, offering magnificent pebbles polished by the rolling of the water at the foot of steep cliffs, as if sculpted. Solid oak volume (made up of glued elements), carved. Tinted in chinese ink mass for a deep black.
Like rocks eroded and dulled by time. The back is worked and the golden slit with the leaf recalls a torrent, sneaking between rocks, shining under a ray of the sun.
Slipper chair in carved solid oak and gold leaf (2018). Solid oak tinted with Chinese ink and carved with gouge.
Edition of 8+4. No.1/8 -
