Ib Kofod-Larsen Shell Chairs for Christiansen & Larsen
-
Description
Pair of spectacular shell chairs, crafted by Danish architect and furniture designer Ib-Kofod Larsen, and manufactured by Christensen & Larsen A/S in the 1950’s. Kofod Larsen’s versatility to work with different types of wood, in this case creating a frame of beech wood and mixing it with teak bent wood back and seat, shows his vision to create a minimalistic aesthetic and comfortable easy chairs. A perfect example of Mid-Century Modern Danish design.
