Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003) was a Danish furniture designer who is known for his elegant and functional designs. He was trained as a cabinet maker before studying at the Danish Design School, where he later became a professor. Kofod-Larsen's designs are characterized by their simplicity, clean lines, and use of high-quality materials such as teak, rosewood, and leather. His most famous designs include the Penguin Chair and the Elizabeth Chair, both of which are now considered classics of mid-century modern design. Kofod-Larsen's work has been exhibited at major design museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
