Armchair manufactured by ISA attributed to Gio Ponti 1950s.

Description
This is an elegant Mid-Century style armchair, reminiscent of the refined design and distinctive lines typical of Italian production of the time, such as those associated with ISA and architects of the calibre of Gio Ponti. The armchair has a high, enveloping backrest, slightly flared at the top and embellished with light capitonné stitching that adds a touch of sophistication and visual comfort.
The upholstery is in velvet, with a texture of small geometric patterns in dark shades, creating a dynamic and sophisticated visual effect. The armrests are padded and seamlessly integrated into the structure, following the curves of the backrest to create a welcoming and ergonomic shape.
The armchair is supported by four tapered, angled legs made of light wood with a glossy finish, which extend outwards, giving the structure lightness and momentum. This detail is characteristic of mid-century design, where attention to structural detail and elegance of form were paramount. The overall effect suggests an armchair designed not only for comfort, but also as a sculptural and designer piece of furniture. -
