Description
Curved fabric sofa with brass legs, designed by Ico Parisi, manufactured by Isa Bergamo.
This sofa, designed by Ico Parisi, epitomizes the finest stylistic research of the 1950s. Its enveloping lines and comfortable seating are enhanced by an off-set, tulip-shaped armrest, which adds an elegant touch to the structure when viewed from the side. Supported by flared, slender conical brass legs that accentuate the soft, graceful curves, this sofa is a quintessential example of Parisi's recognizable work. The distinctive succession of divergent lines, common to many of his designs, is clearly evident.
The significance of this sofa is further highlighted by its production by Isa Bergamo, a manufacturer renowned for its collaborations with leading design figures. The sofa has been fully reconditioned, with both its structure and padding restored. It now features a new two-tone upholstery that is period-appropriate. The choice of combining two neutral-colored fabrics with classic patterns ensures its seamless integration into any living space.
The sofa measures 290x90x92h, with a seat height of 46 cm -
