Description
Pair of fabric armchairs with brass legs by Ico Parisi and manufactured by Isa Bergamo.
This pair of Italian armchairs exemplifies the finest stylistic research of the 1950s. The design is enveloping, and the seating comfort is ensured by an offset, tulip-shaped armrest, which adds elegance to the entire structure when viewed from the side. Supported by four slender, flared, conical brass legs that accentuate and highlight the soft contours characteristic of the piece, these armchairs are a quintessential example of Parisi's most recognizable work. The succession of divergent lines common to many of his projects is easily identifiable in these chairs.
Enhancing the significance and appeal of this pair of seats is the craftsmanship of Isa Bergamo. Active since the late 1940s, Isa Bergamo has produced these and other models associated with the most prominent names in design. The armchairs have been completely refurbished, including the structure and upholstery. They are now offered with a new, period-appropriate, two-tone cover. The choice to pair two fabrics in neutral colors with a classic pattern ensures easy integration into any living space.
The armchairs measure 90 x 80 x 87 cm, with a seat height of 36 cm. -
